Been coming here for years! We always get the chicken tikka masala and saag paneer/spinach cheese. The chicken is so tender and the sauce is amazing. Spinach has some heat to it and recently they seem to have added more paneer cheese to it than they used to which is awesome. Served with rice and garlic naan on the side. Love this place! Wish I could come more often.
Where do I even begin with the jewel of Fullerton, CA. Curry Hut is the ultimate Mecca for curry lovers of Orange County. While the staff do stare at me with the vibe that I just killed their childhood pet, it's worth it because they truly are the ones blessing me with their cuisine. God bless America and god bless curry hut.
This is a fantastic spot for some authentic Indian food. I recently ordered the chicken tikka masala and palak paneer, very creamy and savory. The samosas are perfectly crispy as well, with just the right amount of spice. The prices are a little high, but at least you get a hearty meal. Quality food, great service, awesome place.
Delicious! I have only been twice so far for takeout but the food has been fab both times. Ordered the 2item combo with eggplant and cauliflower potato (I think it's the aloo gobhi) with roti and an order of veggie samosas the first time. Everything was excellent. Second trip I got the 3item combo with eggplant, aloo gobhi, and veggie korma with garlic naan. Again excellent. There is a short wait for the roti, naan, and samosas if you don't order ahead. Definitely recommend for fast food takeout. Will satisfy your Indian cuisine craving.
Curry Hut Indian Food is located on Chapman near Raymond. It is easy to access and locate (just look for the striped, lime green and orange roof). Parking is plentiful. There is limited seating both inside and outside. Tables and chairs are ultra casual. Although the combo plate choices are limited, the variety is nice and range from vegetarian to goat to chicken. Their rice is a little different from other Indian places I've been to in that it has peas and carrots mixed in. It's still good! They also have a la cart options for entrees, breads, rice dishes, and desserts. While the combo plates were ready to go as soon as they were dishes up, there is still a short wait for the naan to be prepared. Even so, it came out pretty quickly. Today I ordered the 2 item combo with chicken tikka masala and black pepper chicken. I'd never noticed black pepper chicken at any other Indian places, so I asked for a sample and the lady working the front was happy to let me try it. SO good! Definitely on the spicy side! Both chicken dishes were seasoned beautifully, had super tender meat, and had a very good ratio of chicken to sauce. I also wanted to try their chili garlic naan and their cheese naan. The chili garlic naan had a nice kick. The cheese naan looked great and pretty innocent ~ until you take that first big bite. I think there's some kind of chili stuffed in it because it instantly cleared up my sinuses. Food was great (especially the black pepper chicken) and service was prompt. Food selection is great and prices are reasonable. I'd definitely come back.
Got the 3 item combo (chicken tikki masala, curry chicken, and eggplant) and added the garlic naan for $1 extra which is such a good deal. It was so much food for under $20 and lasted me 2 meals. The chicken tikki masala was the best thing - so good! The eggplant (pretty spicy and a mushy texture) and curry chicken (not as impressive compared to the tikki masala) were both good but I probably wouldn't order it again. Next time I'd get the chicken tikki masala again and try 2 other items - chicken spinach, lentils, goat curry, cauliflower potatoes, etc - they all looked really good!
I've never experienced Indian flavors before. My really good friend suggested this place and recommended some options. Those options being, Chicken Tika Masala, Lentils, Chicken Curry & veggie Samosas. They are VERY generous with the servings and everything is fresh. The samosas are made fresh to order. While everything is "buffet style" served by worker. It is also very clean, there's seating inside and a couple tables outside. They also sell frozen goods. I highly recommend trying it at least once.
The food was all right--it's definitely more affordable than ordering a la carte. My boyfriend and I shared a 2-item plate, and the only thing I didn't like so much was the veggie side he chose. It tasted like they shoved every veggie known to mankind in there, and the sauce couldn't mask the blandness. The tofu also wasn't the most appetizing, and I absolutely love tofu. I would much rather eat at an actual Indian restaurant, but Curry Hut is still a decent eatery that I wish had more locations.
My go to place for Indian food. There are one item, two item and three item combos that come with rice and naan. Garlic naan is extra but so worth it. Quick, affordable, and delicious.
TLDR: Solid Indian food for a solid price. They're very lunch friendly, but they also make it very easy to bring food home that can be taken in many sittings. Chicken Biryani: A dish prepared when ordered with a slice level that you can request. The rice was fluffy and the chicken was tender. I asked for a mild and they did very well keeping the heat in while not burning my mouth. Chicken tikka masala: It's really good. This place's chicken is always one of the softest around the area for this dish. It s is a staple for me every time I visit. Palak Paneer (not pictured): They don't have much of a differentiator for this one. There is a hint of heat here but nothing I can't handle. Cottage cheese cubes weren't too big or too small. A good way to eat greens while eating curry. Garlic naan: It's solid. No other notes apart from it doing it's job in delivering the curry to my mouth. Service: Imagine a cafeteria style level of service. It's not amazing, but you won't come here to be treated like a king. You're here because you want their good food. Ambiance: It's a small store that seats 8. Cleanliness is not an issue, but space is a bit of an issue. Just order it to go and eat it at home.
